First impressions
are critical (Outside)
- A first impression can make or break a sale; therefore, it is very
important to give the exterior great curb appeal.
- Keep sidewalk & porch should be clean and free of
weeds and debris.
- Trim hedges, weeding lawns and flowerbeds.
- Keep the grass cut and shrubs trimmed.
- Repairing and replace loose or damaged roof shingles.
- Repairing and repaint loose siding and caulking.
- Clean windows, repair & wash screens.
- Trim trees if needed.
- Clean gutters and roof; repair as needed.
Inside your home
- Your goal should be to make your appealing and inviting.
- Clean entire house fully.
- Have carpets and hardwood floors cleaned.
- Apply a fresh coat of paint to walls and/or doors and trim if needed.
- Clean light fixtures and ceiling fans.
- Be sure to clean window blinds, shades, draperies, & shutters.
- A real must is to clean the heating/cooling registers and return air
vents.
- Check your house for any pest infestation. If a problem is present,
call in an exterminator.
Last, but not least
- A house shows best when there is a sunny environment. Open drapes,
blinds, shutters to allow for the most sunlight.
- Most importantlylet the real estate professional do the
selling. If the seller can leave, it will allow the buyer to carefully
look at your home.
